My recent stay at Bear Creek Lodge was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of my stay was dining at the restaurant, where the chef's culinary skills shone through. I was amazed to learn that the chef had previously worked at a Michelin star restaurant in Scotland. The location of the lodge was also breathtaking, with a picturesque creek filled with salmon right next to my cabin.

There were a couple of minor drawbacks. The young women at the front desk seemed nice but were difficult to deal with.

The on-site restaurant, The Dirty Skillet, served delicious food and had a friendly staff. We enjoyed having a coffee shop and restaurant right there, as there weren't many other options nearby. The property had a great atmosphere, with live music adding to the enjoyment of our stay.

I got great value for my money at Alaska's Bear Creek Lodge. The room, especially the cozy Hobbit cabin, was perfect for my stay. The location was ideal for starting my Alaska adventures, and the staff treated me very well.

The breakfast option could use some improvement, maybe adding more variety to the menu.

We stayed at Alaska's Bear Creek Lodge in Hope for 2 nights during our 11-day trip across AK. The Trapper Dan cabin was adorable and the little pond in front of it was perfect for families with kids. The Dirty Skillet restaurant had amazing food and the staff was wonderful. The location by the creek added to the beauty of the area. I highly recommend this place for families and those who enjoy camping or a lower level of glamping.
